My experience as a Marine has provided me with many attributes that I feel are beneficial to my clients; the ability to adapt and overcome challenging situations, I am always striving and working for the best outcome, and of course working as part of a team. I have been able to apply these attributes in my accounting career and will endeavor to use them to benefit my clients needs.
As a California Tax Education Council Registered Tax Preparer I believe a higher level of professional services is necessary for all my clients. California is one of the few states to have set requirements for professional tax preparers. State law requires anyone who prepares tax returns for a fee to be either an attorney, certified public accountant (CPA), CTEC registered tax preparer (CRTP) or enrolled agent (EA).
Choosing a tax preparer who is not one of those four professionals may prevent you from legal recourse against fraud. It may also increase your chances for additional taxes, interest and fines. Always verify the legal status of a tax preparer before handing over your private tax information.
